Dyson, one of the UK’s largest and most well known technology companies, has hired a CAPSLOCK learner.
They have offered the role of Insider Threat Analyst to Siân Salmons, who is currently studying on our 16-week full time cyber security bootcamp. Dyson has a strong internal security culture and the Insider Risks team which Siân will be joining helps to ensure all intellectual property and commercially sensitive information is protected.
The global tech giant hires some of the best engineers and scientists in the world for the development of their internationally renowned products. Now, their latest hire demonstrates the growing appreciation for the cyber talent that is emerging from the CAPSLOCK learner pool.
From Retail to Insider Risk at Dyson
Before joining the CAPSLOCK course, Siân had decided to leave her position as a store manager at Debenhams. She was concerned about job security in the retail sector, and wanted to try something new. She then spent a few months researching and reading about cyber security and how to transition into the field. This lead her to CAPSLOCK, where she enrolled onto our full time cyber retraining bootcamp in March 2021.
After just two months on the course, and prior to completing the 5 professional certifications CAPSLOCK includes, Siân successfully secured this impressive cyber security role.
