The Admissions Process
Everyone has the potential to start a career in cyber security. Ready to unlock your potential?

Entry Requirements
We’re removing as many barriers as possible for people who genuinely want to retrain in cyber. That’s why our only competency-based entry requirements are that you feel confident using a computer, and that you are fully committed to learning new skills to pursue your dream cyber career. There are no upper age limits (but you must be 18+) and you don’t need cyber knowledge to apply. Instead of asking for A-levels, work experience, and so on, we ask you to complete some pre-course work. So no matter your background, you’ll have the opportunity to get up to speed before enrolling on the full course.

Your own laptop or PC
You'll need a suitable device at home to join classes and use the hands-on cyber labs. Our FAQ has recommended specs

Stable internet at 10+mbps
Because CAPSLOCK classes are live and online, you'll need access to stable internet throughout the entire course so you can participate

Webcam & microphone
You'll be required to interact with your tutors and classmates on a daily basis. This includes team-based learning, live classes, and one-to-one support sessions

Quiet place to study
You'll need a quiet place to study and participate in the live classes. The course includes lots of discussion and you'll need to get involved without distraction
Ready to unlock your potential?

IT literacy
You'll need a foundational level of IT literacy to join the course. This is simply knowing your way around a PC. Things like using Word, Excel, installing Chrome, etc.

Able to attend 90%+ of classes
Becuase of live classes are interactive and include team-based learning, you'll need to be there at least 90% of the time.

English language competency
You need to be able to communicate with your tutors, classmates, and mentors using spoken English. You'll also be required to write reports too.

Appetite to learn & succeed
The main pre-requisite we want to see from CAPLSOCK applicants is a desire to learn, a motivation for success.

Step 2: Pre-course Work

Step 3: Finance Application
Unless you’re paying up-front, you’ll need to apply for your preferred tuition finance. This will be with our tuition partners, StepEx (ISA) or Lendwise (Loan).

Step 4: Enrol at CAPSLOCK
Learn from anywhere with Wi-fi. Our digital campus and virtual classrooms allow you to be ‘on-campus’, with immersive instructor-led classes.
